Fr. Augustine Herbers, SVD

On behalf of the officers and members of the Divine Word College of Urdaneta Alumni Association, we would like to extend our condolences to the family and friends of our dearest Rev. Fr. Augustine Herbers who died on April 29, 2005 in the Philippines.  He died of natural causes and a previous accident might have been a contributing factor.  Internment will be on May 3, 2005 at the Christ the King Cemetery.  As you all know, Fr. Herbers was instrumental in the establishment of the school.  The school opened its door during the school year 1967-1968.  He was the first seminary rector.  Class 1973 honored him during their class reunion back in the Philippines in 2003.
